CSPA Conference Day 1.5

Right now we're in the John Jay Dining Hall leeching internet from the college. I finally got a chance to post about my trip. Let's see how this goes 'kay? I'm just gonna copy and paste the stuff I typed into Word last night.

COPY AND PASTED FROM WORD:

NOTE: I can finally blog about my trip to New York! We don’t have Wi-Fi access at the hotel, but we do have it at the college! Heh, awesome no? Right now I’m typing into Word so when I can, I’m going to copy and paste this into multiple posts. I hate having an ultra long post so I won’t have one of those.

Today is March 18th. We started to attend the CSPA conference today. To sum it up, the day consists of 4 sessions that are 45 minutes each. Between the 2nd and the 3rd we have an hour and a half lunch break. It’s fun because I feel like a college student walking around.

Sorry to say that my camera was broken so I WILL NOT be posting any pictures of the campus or other stuff… Unless I decide to steal pictures from the group members that did bring a camera! Bwahahahaha.

Okay, moving on. The most interesting sessions of the day were the layout design ones. It really got me thinking about how we would do it because our paper is only in Black and White. So this means that we have to play around with the greyscale to get the right tones and stuff. I also learned quite a lot from the design sessions. As for the last two, one of them was chill and the other was almost a complete bore! I almost fell asleep twice today because I only had 4 hours or so of sleep. Seriously people…

After the conference concluded for the day ( for us anyway..) We walked back to the hotel to dry off and relax a bit. Around 6:30 ET, we set out for Edgar’s Café for dinner. I had the most awesome, yet most expensive, sandwich I’ve ever eaten!!! I’m almost a pro at Italian food and have developed my own taste for it. After that, we walked back to the hotel and got settled back in. Tomorrow it seems that we’re going to the Good Morning America filming or whatever. We get to be on T.V.! But… we have to wake up at like 4:00 to get ready and have to leave the hotel around 5:15 or something. Such a tight ship huh? But seriously though, this trip is shaping up to be REALLY fun.

Well… More to blog about tomorrow, till then.

Now to wait for the next episode of the Anime and the next chapter for the Manga... DAMN YOU CLIFFHANGERS!

First day of school of the New Year!

Wow, school was tiring, so much crap still left to do, and finals are coming up soon... I could have gone with about another week of doing absolutely nothing. Shoot, I get to see my friends at least.

Nothing really interesting, the usual school day, WAS supposed to rain... those bastards. Damn though, so much work I have to do in just a week's time.

1. Put the finishing touches on the History Project. And wait for the 3 R-Tards to give me their crap that I'm supposed to put on the powerpoint.

2. Since I couldn't come up with any other story ideas for the paper this month, I might end up writing about the Gahr Simulation that's suppose to take place this Friday from like after school till like 8PM or something. What a good waste of time heehee. But I only have to come up questions that I'll be asking the MUN members.

3. OMG FINALS ARE COMING!

That's about all the ranting for now. American Gladiators is on so Imma go watch it. KuKuKu.

Until tomorrow friends and foes!

I leave you with this:

BACK TO BLOGGING!

First: I apologize for neglecting my blogging duties! ごめんね〜〜!

Second: Since the last post, I've discovered many WONDERFUL Manga series' and of the course the usual something-just-kind-of-happened-to-land-in-my-hands.

Third: WINTER BREAK IS ALMOST OVER!? When was this decided? Oh, since the beginning of time? Okay then.

I just recently picked up a couple different Manga series'... Well YOU don't expect me to read only 2-3 series' do you?

Here they are:
1. To-LOVE-Ru
2. Rosario+Vampire
3. Mx0
4. Unbalance x Unbalance
5. Hayate the Combat Butler

Those 5 adding on to Mahou Sensei Negima!?, BLEACH, Naruto, and D.Gray-man. Don't ask about why I read about 3 of the new ones I'm reading... Let's just say: They are very interesting to me. GOT IT!?

Ahem.
As for other news you probably wouldn't care about, for Christmas I got an iPod Touch, money, new pedals for my car, an iTunes gift card, and a new wireless mouse. HO-YEAH!

My brother left for Japan the day after, I went to a New Years party at Ted's place, meh, nothing exciting huh? Well, I don't really have anything else to say, all I did was spend break reading manga and watching anime.

For that Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagan review here it is:

EXCELLENT! That freaking series is FREAKING AAWWEESSOOMMEE! The ending was OK, but COME ON, Uber awesome last episode mech that's as big as a galaxy? FUCKING GOLDEN. But what was strange about the last couple episodes was that: almost all the other Ganmen pilots sacrifice themselves to help Simon and the Gurren-dan. Sound familiar to anyone?

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is a MUST WATCH. GO WATCH IT NOW, GO, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR!?

Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann

So yeah, I recently just decided to watch Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann. I mean it's really interesting: big mechs, hot girls, scantily clad girl... Yeah, my kind of anime!

So far so good, I haven't gotten to the time jump yet, but I'm getting there. The fight scenes are great, and every episode is action-packed!

More to come, as I finish the series... I'm only on episode 14, from what I gather, only another 2 or 3 episodes until the time jump.

I Am Legend was OK

Yes, Yes, I know I haven't posted in a while. Please don't murder me...

As we all know, unless you live under a rock, I Am Legend opened in theaters on Friday, Dec. 14. I was really excited to go see this movie because it looked pretty interesting.

Look it's Sam!

Here's the plot summary:

Robert Neville is a brilliant scientist, but even he could not contain the terrible virus that was unstoppable, incurable, and man-made. Somehow immune, Neville is now the last human survivor in what is left of New York City and maybe the world. For three years, Neville has faithfully sent out daily radio messages, desperate to find any other survivors who might be out there. But he is not alone. Mutant victims of the plague -- The Infected -- lurk in the shadows... watching Neville's every move... waiting for him to make a fatal mistake. Perhaps mankind's last, best hope, Neville is driven by only one remaining mission: to find a way to reverse the effects of the virus using his own immune blood. But he knows he is outnumbered... and quickly running out of time.

Pretty interesting, no? I'm not going to say much about the movie because some of you who are reading this post right now have yet to watch the movie. So I'll just jump straight to what I thought about it.

OK, that's exactly what this movie is. The story is interesting, but the movie relies heavily on CG effects. When I say heavy, I mean like almost the whole entire movie. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but still... Moving on... I Am Legend actually made me jump a couple times, because just when you think it's all peaceful and stuff...BLAM! Something jumps across he screen or attacks Robert (Smith).

I give this movie 4 out of 5 stars, because I can. The story was OK, the CG was pretty cool, and Sam was my favorite. Adding on to that, some parts of the movie are really funny because Robert is really blunt, and the way Smith portrays him is really funny.

All in all, I would say this movie is a watch for sure, you may have another opinion and I respect that. Go watch this movie if you have some time to kill.

Over and out.

RUN FOR YOU LIFE COW! MOOOOOOOO...VE IT! Hahahaha...haha..ha...

End of HEROES Season 2

Well well well, it has come down to this, season 2 of HEROES has just ended. It shouldn't have ended this way, but because of the writer's strike, the season had to be cut short from the planned 24 episodes. I thought that they would have just thrown some crap together and called it a season finale, like some of the other shows that have no writers as of now. All an all, this season was great, especially with the addition of Kristen Bell to the cast.

Other things have happened recently to ME as well. I just got the quarter grades and I have a 4.0! HUZZAH! Well, that's okay I guess, I just want to keep it high.

On to the more interesting stuff!

I recently got back into Mahou Sensei Negima!?. For some odd reason, I just plain stopped reading the manga. I had to urge to do something so I just started reading it again, the scary part is that I caught up already. Ken Akamatsu has realy outdone himself with the storytelling. He transitioned from Love Hina to Negima, rather well. From some perverted ecchi stuff to some perverted ecchi stuff with great story and fighting scenes. I totally recommend Negima to those avid readers who have yet to read it. TRUST ME, it get interesting after the middle part of the series.

As we all know, Christmas is only a couple weeks away, I'm TOTALLY psyched! My wishlist for this year is kinda small, but expensive :3 kukuku

-Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn
-R4 (hopefully)
-New mouse
- and some other crap I can't remember

Well, I'm done with ranting now, until next time cool cats!
